Not as good as it could be : Koolatron - Koolatron Krusader Cooler
I used to own a Koolatron cooler. I used to think it was the best thing I'd ever run across. But I have changed my mind.
Reason #1: It can only cool, at best, to 40 to 45 degrees F below the ambient temperature. (Read the Koolatron info for yourself) That means if it's 95 outside the box, the coldest it will get inside the box is 50 degrees F. Not too chilly if you you were hoping for a (n)ice COLD drink. Also not as low a temperature as is recommended for food storage safety. Daily temps of 90 to 95 are commonplace in many areas in the summer. If you have warm stuff you want to chill, it takes a long time to get the temp down.
Reason #2: It is a battery hog. It will draw your auto battery down an uncomfortable amount over a days running, unless the battery is receiving a charge as in, the engine is running. So I found it not too useful for a camping trip of longer duration than just a single day or a day trip, where (a) there was no AC power available, and (b) you didn't want to drive or run the engine every day.
I'd say it works well enough to be used as a transportation cooler. Load it at point A, unload or use the contents up shortly at point B.
I have been much happier with the Extreme type of cooler offered by Coleman and others. These have extra thick walls. If used with frozen bottles of water there's no melted ice (water) to deal with. Maybe a little condensation, but that's all. And they keep my stuff COLD for several days at a stretch.
Just my opinion.
